WE ARE HERE. WE ARE HERE. WE ARE HERE.

Every year I swear I'm never coming back and every year I do.
San Diego Comic Con is not a convention. It's a trade show. It's also a social experiment in frustration.
There's too many people crammed into a huge space.
Someday, something awful is going to happen. Sure hope I'm not here to see it.
Anyhoo, arrived in beyootiful San Diego, dropped stuff off at our amazing hotel (it's in an old bank building) and then headed down to the Con.
We stood in the 'Professional' line (my DH owns comic book shops) out in the hot sun for over an hour.
Then we got to sit down in an even bigger line to get onto the Exhibit Floor for Preview Night.
It was a zoo.
But the big boys all had their booths rockin'. DC. Marvel. Lucasfilm. Disney. Huge.
The BBC had a little tiny booth this year. Maybe half the size of last year's. I picked up the exclusive t-shirts, chatted with a worker about possibly lending them my TARDIS, took some pictures of their tame Dalek and shoved my way back into the fray.
Lots and lots of Doctor Who toys.
Colin Baker was signing autographs in one booth.
I took pictures of a gal in a TARDIS costume (a long blue trench coat with light for a hat).
Tomorrow, I'll try to get some more Doctor Who content for you all.
But right now, it's looking like nothing Doctor Who is happening until Sunday.
I'll keep y'all informed. :)

"Every year I swear I'm never coming back and every year I do."
Right now, my wife is saying the same thing: she's not sure she wants to come back. The decision is a little easier with the fact that we only go every other year, so she'll have a year to change her mind before we'd start planning next year for SDCC 2011. :)
