Yes a great day meeting other Doctor Who fans - and of course guests.

Will post more soon.

But here's a great picture:-

It was a great day. I found Ian Fairbairn fascinating, although the sound was terrible whilst he was on and he kept moving the microphone away as he spoke. The Big Finish gang were great, really friendly. And of course Colin Baker proved why he was the Doctor, he was mesmerising on stage (even though he wasn't saying anything remotely new) and a wonderfully warm and funny person off stage.

BTW James, I'm the guy who introduced myself as a regular listener as you were leaving (with shows to catch up on). Sorry if I may have surprised you, I realised afterwards I should have said something like "President Nice on the forums" but there you go.

All in all a great event, and Butterley is only 25minutes walk from my house. Let's hopes it's a regular thing.

Just one of the short videos I shot at this years Whooverville Doctor Who Event on 6th Sept '09. A great day but a difficult venue to get good sound. Not sure if other clips will make it on here.

Whooverville 2009 - slideshow with excerpts of the Podcasters chatting - full audio likely to be on a future Podshock. Cheers, daveac (dac100)

I expect James' report to have much better audio quality - and be MUCH longer - over 12 minutes or so I think.

Think of this as a 'taster' :-)

Second short video of Nick Briggs at Whooverville Doctor Who Event on 6th Sept '09. A great day but a difficult venue to get good sound. Sorry about the dropout at the end.
