A Who York Evening… with Louise Jameson (Leela)!

A few months ago, you may have read my post regarding Who York, and some of DWNY's exciting plans to create Doctor Who events and conventions in New York City. Well, the first of those plans has now come to fruition, with the announcement of the first Who York Event - A Who York Evening with..... Louise Jameson, who played Leela with the 4th Doctor.
On Tuesday November 3, from 7.30pm, Who York, in association with DWNY, will present this exciting evening event at cafe 50 West, 50 West 22nd Street, New York, NY. Tickets are $20 each - available at http://whoyork.com, and include all the festivities, but food and drink will need to be purchased separately.
The evening will consist of panels, signings, fun and games.
As well as playing Leela with the 4th Doctor, Tom Baker, in Seasons 14 and 15 of Doctor Who, and in several Big Finish Companion Chronicles, Louise has had a long and varied career on screen and on stage. Other notable TV appearances include Eastenders, Tenko, and Begerac. She also plays "Mother" in the radio version of comedian Toby Hadoke's wonderful one man show Moths ate my Doctor Who Scarf, so there'll be lots of great stories and plenty to talk about!
We have room for around 100 people in total, so this will naturally be a more intimate event than most conventions you may have attended.
Everything we do at Who York is run by fans for fans, as a "for fun" enterprise. We hope you can join us, and support us, so that we can bring more guests to the area in 2010!!!!!
