Horror of Glam RockStephen GatelyBest known for being a member of the Irish pop group, Boyzone, Stephen Gately may be known more so to Doctor Who fans for his role as Tommy Tomorrow in the BBC Radio/Big Finish story, Horror of Glam Rock has died.

The singer/actor was found dead at the age of 33 while on holiday in Majorca according to news reports such as in the Times Online.

The Paul McGann (8th Doctor) audio drama was produced by Big Finish and ran on BBC 7 radio on the 14th of January 2007.

I couldn't believe the news when I heard that Stephen Gately had passed away this morning. He was so young and so talented. I have created a memorial for him at Friends At Rest (

He was irreplaceable in boyzone and was so full of energy and enthusiasm on stage. My heart goes out to Andy, his partner and the rest of the boyz. Rest in peace.

I really liked his stuff especially in GLAM ROCK. It seems a mystery, a shock, and a terrible terrible loss.

This article was corrected to reflect that Boyzone was an Irish pop group. It originally read "UK pop group."
