It's gonna take a while but we can now work out the Gallifreyan Embassy top ten! The Rules: Each story starts with 10 points. When youvote you need to add 1 (+1) to a story you like and take away 2 (-2) from a story you don't like as much. When a story reaches 0 points, it is eliminated from the game. You can only vote once every twenty-four hours.

Actually I was talking about the fact that no votes had been cast since the 12th (Saturday). I was surprised because there is usually a lot of activity over the weekends.
How did 'Web of Fear' get back on the list, something is messed up!
Haven't got time to sort it out just now, as I'm still at work.
I think I've got it all sorted out. Double-check it for me, and later on tonight I"ll place my votes (my 24 hours aren't up until late tonight).

I'm finding it very difficult, if not impossible to vote now - These nine represent my top top top tier of favorite Dr. Who's....with the exception of Genesis, Ribos Operation, Fang Rock, Inferno and Terror of the Autons missing from the field.
I always thought my A+ #1 all time favorite episode was Talons....but as I look at the remaining 8, I see some facet in each of them that sets them above the others!!

Having unwrapped my new 'Under the Surface' DVD, I watched the Sea Devils yesterday for probably the 20th time, but first time on DVD. It was awesome as usual and the goofy incidental music only partially drove my cat from his resting place on the sofa. Anyway - I was saddened at just how the current writing team cannot capture the same shear magic of the Doctor / Master relationship as evidenced in the Sea Devils. I think that episode itself is the high water mark of the writing for the Delgado and Pertwee characters. They don't seem to purposely throw in lines like they did in the recent 'End of Time' episode about the Master's estate w/ flowing fields of red grass. That's all well and good, and I appreciate the attempt to remind us of the characters past relationship...but it was a quick throw away line and then back to the mania that is the RTD style.d Oh well - now that I've washed EOT from my brain with a healthy does of The Sea Devils...what next? Should I queue up The Daemons for the ultimate let down which just might be EOT part II?
I hope not - I want to love it.

I like the 'Delgado Master' more than the 'Simm' version. When many of the Delgado stories were written they show had great writing teams that gave the character more personality and depth, but today's stories just don't have the same level of detail they had in the past.
...And what's all this craziness the Simm Master has? In the past he was an adversary - albeit with megalomaniacal aspirations, but now he just seems crazy for just the sake of being insane.
BTW: The music on "The Sea Devils" gets on my nerves as well, but other-wise it was a great story.

Sorry to hear about the snow you mentioned in your previous post. I hope you don't get snowed in again.
Being in North Carolina does have it's advantages about snow. For instance when we get a snow it's usually a light snow and has usually melted away in a day or so. We get to enjoy having it but for the most part it does no harm around here.

In the south-east of the UK (Brighton) - our snow is usually gone a day later as well but not this year. Looks like we've got another five days of it to go! Bleh!
