As Much as We Need The Doctor, Haiti Needs Doctors Even More Now
We know we have been asking for your support so we can continue doing what we do, and although we still need that support, we hope we can extend that support as a community to help victims of the tragic quake in Haiti this week.
Resources are extremely limited in Haiti right now. While the death toll in the end will be staggering, there are many survivors that are in urgent need of medical attention.
Winter/Spring BBC Highlights Include the Return of Doctor Who, Billie Piper, Christopher Eccleston, Ashes to Ashes, and Being Human
The BBC Press Office revealed their highlights for Winter/Spring for BBC Drama which includes rock stars, Time Lords, and vampires.

While we are eager to see The Doctor return in the form of Matt Smith, the 11th Doctor this spring when Doctor Who returns, he won't be the only actor to play the Time Lord returning. Christopher Eccleston returns to the BBC in a biopic for BBC Four titled, Lennon Naked which charts the musician from his transition from The Beatles to the enduring and enigmatic icon.

Way to go, Gugu!

Martha Jones's sister arrives on these shores! Maybe Sean can have her as a guest at Galli!!!
Steven Moffat says it is Series 31 or 1, what will you be calling the 2010 Doctor Who series with Matt Smith?
It's Series 31 or 1, not 5 says Steven Moffat
In a recent DWIN blog post, it quotes Steven Moffat, new series Executive Producer and Lead Writer for Doctor Who speaking of the upcoming series for the year 2010 (Matt Smith's first series as the 11th Doctor) in the latest issue of Doctor Who Monthly magazine:
"It’s Series Thirty-One of Doctor Who, and it's Series One of Matt Smith's Doctor, Those are both real numbers. I submit that 'Series Five of Doctor Who' means absolutely nothing unless you really believe that Matt Smith is the third Doctor. Everyone knows he's the Eleventh Doctor so that means it’s definitely not 'Series Five'. Whichever number you choose, 'Series Five' is the one that's flawed."
"'Series One' is an exciting sentence. 'Series Thirty-One' is an awe-inspiring sentence. 'Series Five' is a boring sentence - and also a complete lie."

Another group reach their 25th Anniversary!

As many of the GE forum readers know I try to highlight the good work done by a local group here in the UK.
Well that group - The Hyde Fundrasiers reach their 25th Anniversary just like the GE this year!
The Charity group uses Doctor Who & other Science Fiction related characters to raise funds for local, national & international charities like Children in Need reach 25.
Cheers, daveac

This One Goes to Eleven. On Tap for and Shedding Light on Some Changes for Doctor Who.
Now that the end time has come for David Tennant as the Doctor, or rather, The End of Time, there is a new Doctor in the house, or rather TARDIS… Welcome, Matt Smith.

It is not only a change of Doctors, but with Steven Moffat taking the helm of the series as the new executive producer and lead writer, it is a whole new era for Doctor Who. Expect changes across the board to reflect it.
We have already seen the new logo(s) for the series, the new Doctor debuted in the most recent special, The End of Time, Part 2. Doctor Who Monthly magazine is sporting an updated look, and we expect the same with the BBC Doctor Who website soon as well.

TARDIS Damage?
I originally posted this on my tumblelog: T.O.E. Tumblelog.

What happened to the side of the TARDIS? Doctor Who continues shooting despite the snow fall. Hey, perhaps they could rearrange the episode schedule and shoot the Christmas special now since Cardiff is covered with real snow!

Nic Cage as Everyone - Doctor Who
