Happy 81st Birthday, Bernard Cribbins
The Gallifreyan Embassy and Doctor Who: Podshock wish Bernard Cribbins a happy, healthy, and wonderful birthday today. He turns 81 years old. We are delighted to have him still involved with Doctor Who today after first appearing in the 1966 Peter Cushing film, Daleks - Invasion Earth: 2150 A.D. playing Tom Campbell. We finally see him in the TARDIS once again in the recent Doctor Who specials with David Tennant, The End of Time as the character Wilfred Mott (or just Wilf for short).
Bernard Cribbins was recently awarded with an EA British Academy Children's Award. See the video interview with him about it here: BAFTA Video: Special Award for Bernard Cribbins

Will End of Time Break Waters of Mars Record for BBC America?
The End of Time comes to BBC America tonight, well part 1 of it at least. Will it top the best figures BBC America received last week with the airing The Waters of Mars special? Time will tell. 1.1 million viewers turned into BBC America (of those that can receive it of course) to see The Waters of Mars making it the highest rated show ever on BBC America.
Tonight at 9pm (EST), Doctor Who returns to the cable/satellite channel with The End of Time, Part 1. Here's a taste of the episode below.

Master Mask, Courtesy of the BBC
The mind boggles - no, I'm not going to rush out and "put elastic on it," and I am old enough to cut it out myself, than you very much, but, having been very impressed with Mr. Simm in person, I just don't know what I'm going to do with this mask. Hmmm.... Thanks, BBC! Happy Holidays, everyone!!!

Paul Cornell's 12 Blogs of Christmas - Doctor Who Style

Paul Cornell has a series on his blog, The 12 Blogs of Christmas this holiday season.
In the latest entry, The 12 Blogs of Christmas: Eleven. Millennium Eve he features some of his fellow Doctor Who folk… included are Russell T Davies, Steven Moffat, Gary Russell, Murray Gold, James Moran, Noel Clarke, even a familiar name from Doctor Who: Podshock is there too.
In it, we are recounting what we were doing ten years ago as we rang in the new millennium.
Actually, it is quite humbling to be sharing such company on the same page. I thank Paul, he is a lovely person and friend. As I said in my piece included in Paul's blog, take nothing for granted.

Your BBC Radio 4 Update
Lots to listen to coming up on BBC Radio 4 - luckily, we can use "listen again" on the iPlayer. And, anyway, haven't I employed enough BBC actors by now to get to use the damn thing here? :)
Here's a cool one:
Doctor Who - The Lost Episodes: Shaun Ley investigates what happened to 108 missing episodes of Doctor Who from the 1960s, why the tapes were wiped and how dedicated fans hunted down copies of other episodes in film collections from Cyprus to New Zealand. And while we may have lost those early programmes, Shaun hears how home recordings ensured all the audio survived.
