Doctor Who: Podshock will be once again be taking to the net this Sunday (18 April 2010) for a live-over-the-net show reviewing the third episode of the new series, Victory of the Daleks.
He's back… and it's about time! We return with our live-over-the-net review series this time talking about the 3rd episode of the new series starring Matt Smith as the Doctor premiering on BBC One this Saturday (coming to BBC America on the May 1st). We will be reviewing Victory of the Daleks.
Live at the Doctor Who event with Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and lead writer/executive producer Steven Moffat at the Soho Apple Store in NYC on Tuesday night. Outside the store, BBCAmerica.com chatted with some dedicated Doctor Who fans including Dan Roth (Doctor Who: Podshock 185) about why they love the show.

Last night I got to meet an incumbent Doctor for the first time ever! And I am still on a high!
The new Doctor Who team started their American invasion last night, with a fantastic event at the NYC branch of the Paley Center for Media called "Who's Next: The New Era of Doctor Who", organized by BBC America. And what a night it was. We got to see, listen to, and meet stars Matt Smith, and Karen Gillan, and all 3 executive producers Steven Moffat, Piers Wenger, and Beth Willis! Oh, and composer Murray Gold was also there!

The Doctor Meets Amy
As Doctor Who returns with a new team and a new look this spring, GT Magazine eagerly stepped on board the TARDIS for Matt Smith's first ever interview with the gay press. And in 47 years of the show, he is the first Doctor to ever hold the cover spot of a gay magazine.
The April issue of GT Magazine is also sporting unprecedented coverage of the new series, with exclusive content including the first ever interview with the latest addition to the cast, Arthur Darvill. They speak with the Doctor's assistant Karen Gillan, head writer Steven Moffat, executive producer Piers Wenger and a selection of other characters and creatives, both returning and new.
What's more, writer Gareth Roberts reveals that Matt Smith is set to appear pretty much naked in episode eleven, while costume designer Ray Holman tells us what kind of underwear the new Doctor prefers…

Doctor Who is on a billboard, on the sides of buses, and there are screenings in major cities throughout the country, featuring Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, and executive producer Steven Moffat. What country is this? It's got to be the UK, right?
WRONG!!!! It's the United States of America!
So what's changed? When the show was relaunched in 2005, and when David Tennant became the Doctor there was nothing. Well, that was when the show was on Sci-Fi. Now it's on BBC America, the show's natural home, and these people just get it! They know that the show can be a huge success - it's already the #1 show on the channel, and want the show to be even bigger!
