I was surprised to hear so much "meh" about ROBOT OF SHERWOOD when I absolutely loved it. At the end of the Podshock live show you mentioned that Jenna's role could almost have been Sarah Jane's ... I punched the air because that's what I was thinking throughout the episode: for me it was like an episode starring Tom Baker and Elisabeth Sladen. In other words -- the series I fell in love with in the first place. Of course it was silly. Of course parts of it didn't make perfect sense. But that's true of, oh, TERROR OF THE ZYGONS or BRAIN OF MORBIUS. And I don't care. Because there, just as in the old days, was an older grumpier Doctor smart-assing his way into and out of peril, with his plucky companion frequently steering him back on the right track ... and it was fun. I could almost hear Tom and Elisabeth's voices at times. More of this, please, Mr. Moffat, sir, please, sir.
