Sunday, Sunday, Sunday! Part Two

After the Doctor Who panel ended, I hauled butt over to the Sails Pavillion, where my Darlng Husband had run through multiple lines to get me a ticket for the autograph session and saved me a place in line.
There were wild rumors that David Tennant would take part in this session and Murray Gold had hinted on Twitter that he might also take part in it.
But no. Euros Lyn, Julie Gardner and Russell T. came in after about an hour's wait.
Thanks to the DH, I was right up in front of the line and had a moment or two to trade comments with RTD.
Of course, I have my own agenda, and asked him, as he'd just claimed that Four was *his* Doctor, why the BBC no longer distributes Doctor Who Scarf patterns.
He'd had no idea and offered to look into it. I gave him my card.

Beginnings and Endings
Please Note: There will be spoilers in this blog entry if you haven't seen the UK press in the last week, or the reports out of San Diego Comic-Con.
The last week has been a fantastic time to be a Doctor Who fan - and the proof of how great this show is, could be seen in the thousands of screaming fans in San Diego yesterday morning, as the celebrated the coming end of an era - And what a ride that ending looks like its going to be. Frights on Mars with water and who knows what else, and then "The End of Time" itself, with Wilf, Donna, the Master, Timothy Dalton and the last days of Planet Earth!!!! It all looks very dark indeed! Whatever happened to Russell's promise not to scare the kids on Christmas Day??!!!!
Hand-Held "Corrected" Video of the 'End of Time' Promo
This promo for the End of Time presented at San Diego Comic Con this past weekend was shot by someone in the audience. The hand-held shaky video uploaded to YouTube by safia43 was then stabilized and cleaned up a bit by colonelbarker to the give you what you see here below. It features an element that would had been considered a spoiler before Comic Con, but now is not as the BBC has already announced it. Hopefully a better version of this promo will become available on the net soon, in the meantime, here below is probably the best version of it on YouTube (catch it while you can).

David Tennant to Star in St. Trinian's Sequel
According to an article by The Press Association, David Tennant has been cast as the villain "Pomfrey" in a sequel to the 2007 movie, St Trinian's. The article states that 27 year old, Sarah Harding (Girls Aloud singer) along with Tennant will be joining Rupert Evertt (who starred in the original film) and Colin Firth for this sequel named, St Trinian's II: The Legend of Fritton's Gold.
It also states that Tennant's character will have "sidekicks from a women-hating secret society."
Additionally, Montserrat Lombard of Ashes to Ashes will also be appearing in the film.
David Tennant Interviewed in the Chicago Tribune
The Watcher, a TV column in the Chicago Tribune by Maureen Ryan interviews David Tennant. In it, he speaks of the specials, his upcoming appearance at San Diego Comic Con, films, and more. Below are some highlights appearing in the column.
An edited and slightly condensed transcript of my interview with Tennant is below. Here are the highlights, in case you don't want to read the whole thing:
Doctor Who: The Next Doctor on DVD
The 2008 Christmas special, Doctor Who: The Next Doctor is scheduled to be released on DVD in North America on the 15th of September 2009. Oddly (but not Oodly), this comes approximately six weeks after the scheduled release of recent special Doctor Who: Planet of the Dead (available on the 28 July on DVD and Blu-ray).
The Next Doctor stars David Tennant as the 10th Doctor along with David Morrissey. The DVD has a suggested retail price of $14.98 in the US. This single-disc release will include a 60 minute bonus feature of Doctor Who at the Proms. The usual trailer, sub-titles, Dolby Digital 5.1 are included as well. No word about an audio commentary, but one is assumed to be included.
The Eleven Doctors Special for Children In Need?
The Daily Mirror is reporting that all eleven Doctors will be coming together for a special one-off special for Children in Need this November. It reports that the 15 minute episode will be included in BBC1 annual Children In Need appeal in November and shooting of it will begin in September.
This is not the first time a rumour of this nature appeared in the tabloids. The same thing was said to be happening last year for Children in Need except with 10 Doctors which did not happen.
The article states that "images from their original shows, stretching from 1966 to 1974" will be used for the actors William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton, and Jon Pertwee who have since passed away. They will make cameo appearances through footage from these previous episodes.
David Tennant, John Barrowman, and Russell T Davies at San Diego Comic-Con
BBC America has announced that David Tennant (the 10th Doctor) and Russell T Davies (Executive Producer and Lead Writer) will be joining Julie Gardner (Executive Producer) and Euros Lyn (Director) at this year's San Diego Comic-Con.
Together they all will be on a Doctor Who panel on Sunday, the 26th of July 2009 from 10 AM to 11 AM PDT at this annual event.
Meanwhile, John Barrowman (Captain Jack) will be joining Russell T Davies, Julie Gardner, and Euros Lyn on a Torchwood panel on Sunday, the 26th of July 2009 from 2:15 PM to 3:45 PM PDT.
io9 Publishes "Spoiler" Image
An anonymous source has provided io9 an image which appears to be a video still grab (as the image appears to be interlaced).
We will avoid the spoiler information here. It does confirm at least one casting rumour we have reported on recently in Doctor Who: Podshock. It also confirms another casting/character rumour that has been long bandied about concerning the climax of the 2009 specials.
The article on io9 by Charlie Jane Anders also mentions the title of the one of the actors pictured and the character's wardrobe lends credence that the title may be true as well. If so, it opens up other possibilities and confirms what many have been conjuring over the last few years.
