The “Troughton Is My Doctor” (Doctor Who News and Opinion) blog is featuring Doctor Who: Podshock in their Podcastrovalva series which to my understanding will focus on Doctor Who podcasts. This is the first entry in that series and it features Doctor Who: Podshock. Below is a segment from the article. For the full piece, visit the linked entry on their site below.
Podcastrovalva 1- Podshock | Doctor Who News and Opinion: "I started listening to Doctor Who podcasts during the storm-related hiatus of Podshock. However, since it has been back, it has been one I make sure to always listen to within a day or two of its release."
Today marks one week since the unbelievable news broke that we lost Elisabeth Sladen (Sarah Jane Smith) to cancer. The BBC had dedicated this past Saturday's transmission of Doctor Who: The Impossible Astronaut (the premiere episode of the new 2011 series) to her and afterwards there was a 12 minute piece on CBBC titled, My Sarah Jane: A Tribute to Elisabeth Sladen which if you saw it, I'm sure it didn't leave you with a dry eye. In it, many of her co-stars spoke about their time working with her including David Tennant and Matt Smith. The day after she passed, another Doctor actor had his say as well.
Tom Baker, the 4th Doctor in Doctor Who shares some of his memories and feelings after the passing of co-star, Elisabeth Sladen last week.
Tom Baker Newsletter | Latest news | Lis Sladen | Sarah Jane: "Sarah Jane dead? No, impossible! Impossible. Only last week I agreed to do six new audio adventures with her for Big Finish Productions.
We are pleased to announce that we have been selected as a nominee in the SFX Blog Awards 2011. The awards "celebrate the best that SF and fantasy fan-driven and insider-developed internet activity has to offer."
"There are six categories to choose from, and the nominations have been drawn up from suggestions made by members of the SFX Forum, SFX team members and the SFX Bloggers," as stated on the SFX website.
With our new website (3.0), comes a new feature of blogs. It basically means in addition to news and other postings featured on our site, we will have regular contributors posting blog entries here as well relating to all things Doctor Who including the spin-offs of it.
Currently, the bloggers will be limited to staff and crew of the website and Doctor Who: Podshock, but will also feature other writers. One of which you will know from our podcast, but perhaps more so from his weekly This Week in Doctor Who (TWIDW) listings on Outpost Gallifrey and the TWIDW Yahoo Group, we welcome Benjamin Elliott who will be posting This Week in Doctor Who here as a regular blog.
