The new K9 - The Series being produced in Australia by Park Entertainment is currently in post production. The 26 half hour series one of the show will be marketed at MIPCOM, an industry content trade show held from the 5th to 9th of October 2009 in Cannes.
See below for the latest promotional trailer featuring the metamorphosed K9 for this new series.
Originally created for the 1970s Doctor Who series by Bob Baker and Dave Martin, K9 has long been an iconic television character. Now a new adventure series featuring everyone's favourite robot dog in a brand new 21st Century design! K9 is a children's scifi/adventure series combining comedy, action and suspense X-Files meets Men in Black with a zany dash of Ghostbusters.
I have no idea why, but wired.com had this video on their site today. It features David Tennant and Russell T Davies at San Diego Comic Con talking about Doctor Who and in particular some of the difficulties they had with the bus in the then most recent special, Planet of the Dead.
We had the privilege of sitting down with Gary Russell for an indepth interview before joining the DWNY Meet Up on Wednesday, the 19th of August 2009 at the Peculier Pub in Manhattan. It was there that Gary was finally presented with his own DWNY mug. Look forward to our interview with Gary Russell in future episodes of Doctor Who: Podshock. In the meantime, here is a video of Gary being presented with his own DWNY mug (dark grainy video shot in the pub using an iPhone 3GS).
Once again, our good friend, Victor1st at the Doctor Who Experience (Katrina) on Second Life has created an updated introduction video for our Gallifreyan Embassy / Doctor Who: Podshock Meet Up taking place on Saturday, the 15th of August on Second Life.
This video came my way courtesy of our own Tara Wheeler who is actually in this video. No, she is not the one dancing, nor is that her TARDIS which is dancing, but she and her TARDIS are there nonetheless. She quickly takes to safety in her TARDIS when the dancing one enters the room at Gallifrey 20 (February 2009). I know that is what I would had done as well.
This promo for the End of Time presented at San Diego Comic Con this past weekend was shot by someone in the audience. The hand-held shaky video uploaded to YouTube by safia43 was then stabilized and cleaned up a bit by colonelbarker to the give you what you see here below. It features an element that would had been considered a spoiler before Comic Con, but now is not as the BBC has already announced it. Hopefully a better version of this promo will become available on the net soon, in the meantime, here below is probably the best version of it on YouTube (catch it while you can).
As just reported, the BBC has made a new trailer for Doctor Who: The Waters of Mars available for the UK only. For everyone else, there's YouTube (watch it while you can):
If for some reason it is removed from YouTube, here is the BBC America version of the promo trailer as well:
The BBC Doctor Who website has made a new tailer of Doctor Who: The Waters of Mars presented at San Diego Comic Con available on their website. Unfortunately, it is available for the UK only.

daveac vblog 052 is up on blip.tv
I won't normally 'blog' on this page about individual vblog episodes - the links are elsewhere on this blog - but since I've reached 1 full year of vblogging I though a post here would be nice.

I've now been doing these vblogs for 1 year! Blimey!
Slightly dis-organised as I've been watching the British Open Golf :-)

Amidst the unraveling of the Doctor Who spin-off, Torchwood: Children of Earth, the BBC has released more information on the upcoming Doctor Who special, The Waters of Mars.
The BBC Press Office has released information on their Autumn 2009 line up on BBC One, including Doctor Who - The Waters of Mars:
The 2008 Christmas special, Doctor Who: The Next Doctor is scheduled to be released on DVD in North America on the 15th of September 2009. Oddly (but not Oodly), this comes approximately six weeks after the scheduled release of recent special Doctor Who: Planet of the Dead (available on the 28 July on DVD and Blu-ray).
The Next Doctor stars David Tennant as the 10th Doctor along with David Morrissey. The DVD has a suggested retail price of $14.98 in the US. This single-disc release will include a 60 minute bonus feature of Doctor Who at the Proms. The usual trailer, sub-titles, Dolby Digital 5.1 are included as well. No word about an audio commentary, but one is assumed to be included.
The latest trailer for Torchwood: Children of Earth shown on Australia's UKTV has Gwen Cooper references the Doctor.
On a related note, word now is that the BBC in the UK will be scheduling the transmission of the new five-part mini series, Torchwood: Children of Earth now between the 4th - 10th of July. If this is the case, it goes against the previous information of the BBC and BBC America showing them during the same week.
