The BBC has confirmed that the upcoming 2013 Doctor Who Christmas special is titled, 'The Time of the Doctor.' So we have had 'The Name of the Doctor', 'The Night of the Doctor', 'The Day of the Doctor', and now 'The Time of the Doctor' all in row with only the mini episode titled, 'The Last Day' interrupting the pattern. There's a teaser promo video for it, albeit very short, that the BBC has released as well (see below). How many days until Christmas now?

If you only watched ‘An Adventure in Space and Time’ and ‘The Day of the Doctor’ anniversary special as part of your 50th anniversary of Doctor Who celebrations, then you're missing out. ‘The Five(ish) Doctors’ is thirty minutes of fun and delight spearheaded by Peter Davison which chronicles some of the past actors who played the Doctor in their efforts in being included in the Doctor Who 50th anniversary special. It’s a real treat for long time fans, that also offers up some delights for new fans. The video is embedded below.
A collection of Doctor Who content is available under the umbrella of the '50th Anniversary Collection' on iTunes. According to the description it will include 'The Day of the Doctor' anniversary special and 'An Adventure in Space and Time' when they are released. Already there are 'Revisited' specials, the Proms, and more recently the mini-episode, 'The Last Day.' A season pass to all the content is $29.95, although you can purchase them individually and some are offered for free.

Wow! We weren't expecting it unit this weekend, but surprise, it's here now! It's the first of many surprises in this new mini-episode "prequel' to Doctor Who: 'The Day of the Doctor' entitled, 'The Night of the Doctor.' Enjoy!
November 23rd of this year marks the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who. Sure there are specials on television honouring the event including Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor and the docu-drama, An Adventure in Time and Space, but aside from these, how do you plan to celebrate 50 years of Doctor Who?
Will you be pulling out your favourites from your DVD/Blu-ray collection to watch (or downloading/streaming them from an online service)? Perhaps having a marathon of episodes? Maybe you're putting together a theme party to celebrate it with friends?
Or perhaps you're not doing anything out of the ordinary, which is fine, but what does 50 years of Doctor Who mean to you?

Here we are again with another version of the BBC promo teaser "trailer" video for Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor coming November 23rd for the 50th anniversary of the series. This one is longer than the previous version. Once again, like before, it features Matt Smith, David Tennant, John Hurt, and some other familiar faces. Enjoy. [Warning: Possible "spoilers" depending on your perspective.]
As promised, the BBC has made available the official teaser promo "trailer" for Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor now. The previous "leaked" version had Spanish subtitles, this does not and it is directly from the BBC. It features Matt Smith, David Tennant, John Hurt, and some other familiar faces. [Warning: Possible "spoilers" depending on your perspective.]
Now in the iOS App Store is the Doctor Who: Sonic Screwdriver (Official) (for iOS 5 or later). Is if it wasn’t already overused on the television series, now it’s available on our iPhone. It includes four 3D models of sonic screwdrivers and thankfully not just limited the last seven years. It gives you a choice of two kinds of backgrounds for your sonic screwdriver. One is “transparent” (thanks to the rear camera) which emulates holding the actual sonic screwdriver as it will pick up whatever background you are pointing your iOS device towards (pretty nifty, huh?). Of course it has various sonic screwdriver sounds (it wouldn’t be “sonic” otherwise). You can even shake the 11th Doctor’s model to extend it. Plus it’s a flashlight app as well (for those with a camera flash and who haven’t updated to iOS 7 which now has it built-in the OS, may find this feature handy).
This english-speaking teaser promo with spanish sub-titles seems to have been leaked on the net today for the Doctor Who 50th anniversary special, 'The Day of the Doctor' - Watch while you can now. It features Matt Smith, David Tennant, and John Hurt along with other familiar faces.
The (original) video has been removed at the source. Word is that the BBC will be debuting the promo this weekend though. So if you missed it, you should should be able to see it in the next day or two.
