It is with great sadness and a very heavy heart, that I report the passing of Nicholas Courtney,  best known for his role as the Brigadier. 

He was first seen in Doctor Who as Bret Vyon a security agent in the 12 part "The Daleks Master Plan" Later taking up the Role of Colonel Lethbridge Stewart in "The Web of Fear" and then comming back one year later as Brigadier Lethbridge Stewart in the Invasion. 

Once again I am chiming in here to give everyone a heads up that Doctor Who: Podshock 236 is on its way. In the meantime, if you haven't heard it yet, the latest Hitchhiker's Guide to British Sci-Fi is out. Dave and Graeme who helped with DWP 235, also co-host in this episode.

Today is the birthday of David Jason (voice of Danger Mouse and recently recognized in UK's National Television Awards). What better way to celebrate his birthday, than listening to this episode of HHGTBSF. See the links below:

Dave Cooper @daveac joins me, Louis Trapani @LouisTrapani as co-host in this episode in which we discuss the new Torchwood series coming to Starz in the US, series 4 of The Sarah Jane Adventures, we invite our younger listeners for their reviews of K9 - The Series, plus we discuss Sherlock, The Deep, Ashes to Ashes, Merlin, and more. On The Examination Table -

A couple months ago, the Examiner posted a video interview of Doctor Who: Podshock consisting of Ken Deep, James Naughton, and myself conducted by Chris McKeon. This time, I am on the examination table so to speak in this latest interview with examiner.com once again by Chris McKeon. In it, I speak about Doctor Who, Doctor Who: Podshock, the Gallifreyan Embassy, and some of our other shows. This interview was conducted about two weeks prior (mid-March) of the BBC premiering the first Matt Smith as The Doctor story of new series of Doctor Who, The Eleventh Hour.

This year's EA British Academy Children's Awards honours Bernard Cribbins. Many will know him for his reoccurring role of Wilf, Donna's granddad currently in Doctor Who (and is set to return for the upcoming specials The End of Time), though his association with Doctor Who goes back to the 1966 feature film, Daleks: Invasion of Earth 2150 AD with Peter Cushing, he can also be heard in a radio version with Paul McGann, and was in the running to succeed Jon Pertwee as the Doctor.

Last week I had the pleasure of being a guest on the Sci-Fi Party Line podcast. I was invited to come on episode 39 of the podcast hosted by Cat ( @fancyfembot ) and Eric Escamilla ( @Bullitt33 ) (we just had Eric on with us in Doctor Who: Podshock 169).
