Long Island's fourth annual Doctor Who convention features three Doctors this November!
For the first time ever in New York, three Doctors will appear at one convention, L.I. Who 4. Peter Davison, Colin Baker, and Paul McGann lead an all star guest line up that also includes Sophie Aldred, Frazer Hines, Anneke Wills, Nick Briggs, Jemma Redgrave, Clare Higgins, Richard Franklin, Daphne Ashbrook, Yee Jee Tso, Peter Purves, and many more.
Ok this release has been out a while, but I had a lot of work in the way, so hear goes (a bad audio joke, Big Finish audio ahem Yes cough well).
I will start by saying this review (of Legend of the Cybermen) will have spoilers in it, but hopefully enough that you'll go out and buy it. The first thing is the story continues on from The Wreck of the Titan, and by that really had a lot to live up to, because Wreck was written so well by, and directed by Barnaby Edwards of Dalek fame and not of DWNY fame. In comparison Legend is written by Mike Maddox and Directed by Nick Briggs.
There is another Doctor Who stage show in the works, but Trevor Martin won't be returning for the title role. The Press Association reports the following:
"Actor Nigel Planer - best known for his role as TV hippy Neil in The Young Ones - is to take centre stage in the new live-action Doctor Who tour.
The hit BBC One show is being adapted for the stage in a nine-city arena tour which will begin next month with Daleks and Cybermen among the evil creatures which will be brought to life.
Now Planer has been unveiled as the star who will act as the production's lynchpin, starring as a travelling showman Vorgensen.
Mr Dalek Himself Nick Briggs has been presenting the BBC radio 7 Programme "The Seventh Dimension" for a while now and towards the end of this month, the Biography of Doctor Who producer Barry Letts will be broadcast. The Biography "Who and Me" is read by Barry Letts Himself and has been on Audio to buy for sometime now through the Usual Channels. This is a Chance for those of you who have not yet heard this excelent reading, to finally enjoy the Biography.
BBC radio 7 is available through the BBC iPlayer system and unlike the actual TV programmes, which are locked to the UK only; BBC radio can be Listened to Worldwide either live or in the Listen again feature.
