Apple iTunes is currently offering selected science fiction series premiere episodes for free. "For a limited time, download the first episodes of these series for free and own their first seasons for a great price"
Included in the offerings is Doctor Who (Rose) and Torchwood (Everything Changes (both SD and HD versions)). Other series include the recently re-imagined Battlestar Galactica series, Fringe, Heroes, Stargate SG-1, Eureka, Supernatural, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The X-Files, Stargate Atlantis, Robin Hood, Star Trek: Enterprise, and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
Again, we don't know how long this will last as it only states "for a limited time" - so get them while you can.

One of the questions we are asked often is how to watch the new (2010) episodes of Doctor Who. As one might guess, these questions for the most part come from outside of the UK. Obviously for those in the UK, one just has to check the Radio Times listings to see where and when they can watch new episodes of Doctor Who on the various BBC channels and/or the BBC iPlayer.
Outside of the UK though, it is trickier, but there are various choices. It comes down to the digital medium, be it digital downloads, streaming, or on a physical disc or transmission/broadcast medium (which today is digital as well, but we get too technical here).

If you missed Matt Smith's first full episode as the Doctor on BBC America, you can now purchase the episode from Apple's iTunes. Doctor Who: The Eleventh Hour is now available on iTunes (in the US).
If your television service provider doesn't carry BBC America, don't let that stop you from enjoying the exciting new series of Doctor Who.
